Space Network User's Guide


The Space Network User's Guide is intended as a guide to the user community for obtaining communication support from the Space Network. The emphasis in the User's Guide is on the interfaces between the user ground facilities and the Space Network. Other topics include the following:

The radio frequency interface between the user spacecraft and the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite

Procedures for working with the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) Space Communications Program, which has management and operational responsibility for the Space Network, to establish user interfaces.

Space Network capabilities and service characteristics

General information pertaining to the operational aspects of the Space Network

Generalized capabilities and technical characteristics of other Space Communications Program elements which support the Space Network user
